Venues are places where the Beatles played, recorded or stayed. Most date from 1960 to 1966, from the Hamburg club residencies to the last tour. Few carry a Beatles marker, and many are still working halls and theatres.

A good number have been demolished, including the big stadiums of the American tours. Shea Stadium in New York was demolished in 2008 and 2009, and Candlestick Park, site of the last paid concert on 29 August 1966, in 2015. Hamburg's Ernst-Merck-Halle came down in 1986.

Some rebuilt or surviving rooms still run under their old names. Liverpool's Cavern Club is a 1984 rebuild on the original site, after the first cellar was filled in in 1973. The Nippon Budokan in Tokyo, where the band played five shows from 30 June to 2 July 1966, still hosts events.
