Beatles sites in Los Angeles

The Beatles sites in Los Angeles are all in or near Hollywood: a pavement star, a concert venue and a memorial tree.

Hollywood

The Beatles' group star on the Walk of Fame is at 7080 Hollywood Boulevard, dated 25 December 1998. People often look for it in the wrong place. The four solo stars are a separate set outside the Capitol Records Building on Vine Street, about 1.7 km east in a straight line.

The Hollywood Bowl at 2301 North Highland Avenue is the open-air amphitheater where the band played on 23 August 1964 and again on 29 and 30 August 1965. Capitol taped those shows for the 1977 album The Beatles at the Hollywood Bowl. The Bowl is still a ticketed concert venue, and it has no permanent Beatles marker.

Griffith Park

The George Harrison tree grows at the Charlie Turner Trailhead, across the parking area from Griffith Observatory. The tree standing there now is not the original. A pine dedicated in 2004 was infested by bark beetles and cut down in June 2014, and a yew pine went into the same spot on 25 February 2015. The trailhead is free and open to the public.
