Computed from the published records on 14 October 2026. Distances are straight-line.

Every open Beatles museum charges for entry, and most began as one collector's private hoard. Liverpool has the densest group, and there the category also covers houses: Mendips, Lennon's childhood home, and 20 Forthlin Road, Paul McCartney's, are both visitable buildings rather than exhibition halls. Strawberry Field, the former Salvation Army children's home in Woolton, opened to visitors on 14 September 2019.

The oldest outside Liverpool is the Beatles Museum Alkmaar, opened on 6 June 1981 in Krommenie and moved to Alkmaar in 1995. Others show a single private collection. Museo Beatle in Buenos Aires, opened in 2011, shows Rodolfo Vázquez's collection, and the St Petersburg museum is Kolya Vasin's former flat and collection, run by the city's Beatles community since his death in 2018. Halle in Germany and Eger in Hungary have their own.

One museum on the list no longer exists. The John Lennon Museum inside Saitama Super Arena showed about 130 items lent by Yoko Ono from October 2000 and closed in September 2010, when her ten-year licence ended.
