However, it went to auction in 2014. Hotel owner Robinson Callen purchased it and donated it to the Barrymore Hotel.

Cast in bronze at life-size scale (about 5 ft 10 in tall), the statue shows Lennon mid‑stride. His coat and hair appear to flow in the breeze. This design echoes the iconic Abbey Road image. Importantly, the sculpture includes Lennon’s signature round glasses. Unfortunately, they have been stolen repeatedly, so visitors often bring replicas for photos. No inscriptions appear on the monument.
